BARRY ROGERS

Barry Rogers has been working with soapstone since 2000. He utilizes a variety of soapstone, including Canadian, Italian and Brazilian in a range of green, black, white and brown colours. His handcrafted pieces include functional as well as decorative art, including oil burners, candle holders, pens, wine stoppers, and clocks as well as the Inukshuks, polar bears, and whales that he especially enjoys creating. He will also do special orders upon request.

Barry grew up in Newfoundland & Labrador, joined the Canadian Armed Forces in 1982, and retired in 2002. Now residing in Edmonton with his family, Barry is enjoying his second career as a Travel Consultant and pursuing his love of soapstone carving during his free time.
